"delivery" means transfer of possession, actual or constructive, from one person to another;

delivery

For the purpose of this Act, "delivery" by a licensee of a postal article means- (a) leaving the postal article at the address; (b) depositing the postal article in a post office locked bag or letter box or any other receptacle or device provided for the receipt of postal article of the addressee; or (c) leaving the postal article with the addressee or his servant or agent or with any other person considered to be authorized by the addressee to receive the postal article, according to the usual manner of delivering postal article to that addressee, and where the addressee is a guest or a resident at a hotel, delivery to the proprietor or manager of the hotel or his agent shall be deemed to be delivery to the addressee.
