harassment of debtors It is an offence for a person, with the object of coercing another to pay money claimed from the other as a debt due under a contract; to harass the other with demands for payments which are calculated to subject him or member of his family or household to alarm, distress or humiliation, or to falsely represent that criminal proceedings lie for failure to pay the money claimed.
