wrongful dismissal An improper dismissal of an employee from service by an employer. A Government employee is entitled to protection. If a workman is dismissed for misconduct without any enquiry in disregard of the standing order, the dismissal is invalid and the Industrial Court can set aside the order is invalid and reinstate the workman in service. An order of dismissal in disregard of the principles of natural justice is invalid and can be set aside by the industrial Tribunal. |
