specific performance Equitable, discretionary remedy in personam whereby a party to an agreement is ordered by the court to perform his obligations according to the terms of that agreement. Granted only where the appropriate remedy at law is inadequate, and will not be granted if the court has no jurisdiction to grant it: Does not apply to contracts made for no consideration, or involving continuous supervision, or for personal services, etc. |
