restrictive covenant 1. A convenant by which use of the covenantors land is restricted for the benefit of the convenantees adjoining land. The burden of such a convent may bind an assignee of the convenators tenement, i.e., it may be considered as a covenant running with the land. 2. Convenant restraining an employee from exercising his skills on the termination of his employment. |
