nomination 1. The appointment of a worthy clerk or man to a parsonage or vicarage : 2. Designation or proposal by name for a vacant office. 3. A direction to a person who holds funds on behalf of another to pay them to a nominated person in the event of death. Nomination may be made by an adult or infant who has reached the age of 16. |
