mistake of fact In civil law, mistake of fact or genuine ignorance of the state of affairs will not afford immunity. He who interferes intentionally with the person, property, reputation or other rights of another does so at his peril. Here neither good faith nor reasonable grounds for interference will be heard. There are some exceptions to this but they confirm the general rule. |
