just and equitable Phrase used, e.g., in company law, relating to a petition to wind up a company when the court is of opinion that it is just and equitable that it should be wound up. Companies have been wound up under this head because of, e.g., deadlock among members, the companys insolvency; or the company has misapplied funds. |
