acknowledgement Acknowledgement of liability must relate to a present subsisting liability, though the exact nature of specific character of the said liability may not be indicated in words. It must indicate the existence of jural relationship between the parties, such as that of debtor and creditor, and it must appear that the statement is made with the intention of admitting such jural relationship. It need not be accompanied by a promise to pay either expressly or even by implication. |
