Trespass

Trespass is a wrongful act done in disturbance of the possession of property of another, or against the person of another, against his will. (Halsburs Laws of England). Generally, it refers to some disturbance of a persons possession of immovable property like land or house. The civil remedies are suits for damages, for recovery of immovable property, for declaration of title and injunction. The criminal remedies are (a) prosecution for criminal trespass and (b) proceedings under Code of Criminal Procedure.
