Dictionary |
offer The offer of a promise which when accepted constitutes an agreement. The formula of a true offer is I promise, if you will in return make a certain promise or do a certain act. It must be distinguished from an invitation to others to make offers, e.g. as by an auctioneer. An offer may be withdrawn or revoked at any time before it has been unconditionally accepted; or it may be rejected; or lapse because of the death of the offeror, or by non-acceptance within a reasonable time. |
