enforcement notice Notice served by a local planning authority on the owner and occupier of land on which there has been a breach of planning control, i.e., where development has taken place without permission, or in disregard of the limitations of such permission. The notice specifies the breach and the steps required to remedy it and states a time for compliance. Appeal is to the Secretary of State. |
